- Snow sports – For avid skiers and snowboaders, Kickenback is a short walk (500m) or drive (3km) to the Skitube alpine railway terminus at Bullocks Flat providing convenient access to Perisher and Blue Cow snow fields. Thredbo is also only a 15 minute drive away. Ski hire is conveniently available locally within the adjacent resort complex.
- Mountain biking and trail running – In the warmer months, Kickenback is only a stone’s throw away from the Thredbo Valley Trail – popular for mountain biking and trail running. Thredbo itself host a number of world class cross country and downhill trails popular for mountain bikers. There are also numerous other scenic trails surrounding Crackenback and heading into the Kosciuszko National Park.
- Hiking – Explore the magnificent Kosciuszko National Park, the country’s largest, and perhaps climb Australia’s highest peak. Numerous other hiking trails surround the area.
